John Roberts Calls Out McCain

Yesterday Senator John McCain (Insane - Arizona) made the ludicrous statement that there are neighborhoods in Baghdad where he could take an unescorted stroll, and that General Pertaeus tools around Baghdad in an unarmored humvee.

Today, John Roberts called his delusional ass on it. “I checked with General Petraeus’s people overnight and they said he never goes out in anything less than an up-armored humvee.” (Make that an up-armored humvee that’s in the middle of a bunch of other up-armored humvees that are heavily armed; and throw in a few choppers overhead acting as eyes – and arms – in the sky. That's more like it. After all, it isn't like Leavenworth has another *counterinsurgency expert* waiting in the wings.)

Confronted with irrefutable evidence that he was utterly full of shit…Insane McCain did the Republican thing - he denied he had said it. “Well, I’m not saying they could go without protection. The President goes around America with protection. So, certainly I didn’t say that.”

WTF? That, like, made no fucking sense.

Change the name of the bus to the Straight Jacket Express. The dude is fucking nuts.

Michael Ware, CNN’s Baghdad correspondent – who has lived in the city for the last four war-torn years – said yesterday that McCain’s ridiculous comments were derided, and met with “laughter down the line.”

We have to make an effort for one our nicknames for McCain to make the rounds. I like your Insane McCain. But I also like my Mad Jack McCain (or simply Mad Jack or Mad Jack Mac). So I'm torn. I suppose we should let the public decide. But, just like ITMFA, we should continue to pound our message, because the fucker has gotta be fucking insane if he believes one word he says about Iraq.
