Saturday Morning Quick Hits

Thin skinned much?
This is a little bit ridiculous. Security guards at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center in Toledo, Ohio tasered and beat a 66-year-old minister after he made a joke about the lack of a smile on the face of one of the guards. The incident was captured by surveillance cameras and the tape shows five guards beating and kicking the man on the ground. The hospital issued a statement saying the guards behaved appropriately to the "aggression" by the minister, and pressed assault charges against him, which were thrown out of court. Now the minister is suing the hospital. "We're going to use the American justice system, put this in front of a jury and let them decide what's appropriate," said his attorney.

GOP operative busted in hooker sting
Peter Hong, who served as a spokesman for the Bush-Cheney '04 campaign in Minnesota, and for the Tim Pawlenty campaign in '02 and most recently was a point man for the Huckabee campaign in his state has been busted in a prostitution sting. He is currently self-employed and "Always Searching for the Next Big Thing!" according to his profile on the business-networking Web site LinkedIn. (Write your own jokes here.)

Makes sense, since Dell has the website market locked up
Gateway announced yesterday that they will no longer sell PCs directly through their website and will instead concentrate on marketing their products through third-party vendors.

I am battling some gawd-awful disease and I feel like hell. Don't expect much out of me this weekend, unless I experience a miracle of healing after one of the many naps I'm taking. One things for sure, I can certainly think of better ways to lose ten pounds than this.
