Keep a good thought for our friends and relatives in California right now. The fires raging from LA to San Diego are the worst that have ever been recorded, and half a million people have been displaced so far. The city of Del Mar has advised all residents to evacuate.

Send them karmic rainclouds and hope that Glenn Beck, the latest poster boy for compassionate conservatism, gets his for his crass remark yesterday that "people who hate America are losing their homes today." Fuck you, Beck, you Good German, you. You mendacious, hateful prick - Orange County and San Diego are both full of Republicans and San Diego, especially, is full of retired military. What a classless jerk. I do hope the coop is adequate, because this fucker really has some chickens due to arrive home and roost any minute now.
