We have had it...

...and we are abandoning the blogger platform as fast as we can build a site in SoapBlox. Look for a post in the next couple of days - if not in the next few hours - with updates pointing you to a new url that we own exclusively.

Anything worth doing is worth doing right, you know, and the landslide of problems in google-world the past week has confirmed what we have been thinking for about a month. Enough already. We think this is worth doing, so half-assing it in Blogger is coming to an end. Capriciousness isn't even charming in highschool girls. It really sucks in your web platform.

Oh - gmail is effed up, too, so anyone needing to contact me in today should send email to my old Yahoo account: bluegalinaredstate@yahoo.com.

We will take advantage of the Blogger free blog thing and continue frustrating people with the Secret Squirrel blog, of course. We are going to kick ass in other formats and in other venues because that's what we've decided we need to do. Were it not for the overwhelming response we get from folks all over the place and from places we never expected it, we wouldn't be in a position to make this push. The generosity and the encouragement is always appreciated and we do this humbly and with a sense of purpose that never wavers.

Come on over kiddies! Join us at They Gave Us a Republic! It is a SoapBlox platform, like we use over at Show Me Progress and VetVoice. You will need to register to post comments, but the comment system kick Haloscans ass, and you can reply specifically to comments, or to the board at large, and once registered, users can post diaries, too. We know we have the most astute readers in the blogosphere, and several of you have proven that point by guestblogging here. Now there is no rigamarole. You have something to say, say it, and don't be surprised if it gets promoted to the front page.

So c'mon over, and get registered, and update your blogrolls and bookmarks, and let's keep rockin' the blogosphere like the fighting liberals we are!
