No Triple Crown winner this year, either

The race is over and it was Da'Tara, the 38-to-1 longshot who crossed the finish line first, with about three lengths to spare.

We have been watching with the sound off, and I dunno, but I think it looks like his foot hurts. I am no expert on horses, but I had horses growing up and I've worked a lot of cattle on horseback, so I'm not totally equine-illiterate, either. I am in a speculating mood, so what the hell? When his jockey took him to the outside on the last turn, that looked to me like he was maybe afraid of being a player in yet another track tragedy.

Just my guess. What's yours?
