With nary a trace of irony....

The most bumbling and inept Secretary of State in the history of the Republic criticized Russian President Vladimir Putin for consolidating power in his office. Condi, it seems, is wringing her hands and beside herself with concern that Putin's power-grab might undermine Russia's commitment to Democracy. (!)

"In any country, if you don't have countervailing institutions, the power of any one president is problematic for democratic development," Rice told reporters after meeting with human-rights activists.

"I think there is too much concentration of power in the Kremlin. I have told the Russians that. Everybody has doubts about the full independence of the judiciary. There are clearly questions about the independence of the electronic media and there are, I think, questions about the strength of the Duma," said Rice, referring to the Russian parliament.

Apparently power-grabs by presidents are only of concern when they take place in other countries. When they transpire in Washington D.C., they are A-Okay. (Preferable even!)

Sorry guys...I'm having a "WtF???" moment here...I am going to leave it up to you all to give it the mocking it so richly deserves...
